Does your special doll need the perfect outfit? Maybe she's bald or has a hairstyle that just doesn't do her justice. Or (horrors!) she has a cracked or smashed head, a damaged body or even the wrong body.
I use my art and engineering training along with decades of "doll recovery" projects to repair antique and vintage dolls. I also can re-create authentic costumes and wigs in the style of the original, specializing in French and German antique bisque headed dolls.
But as you can see in my project gallery, I'm game for many types of doll repair projects. Everything is custom, so scroll below to get started.

Accidents happen, but I hate to lose these beautiful examples of the dollmakers art. I've taken on every type of repair from stabilizing a hairline crack to re-assembling a head from dozens of shards. The time and materials involved vary for each project, so we will need to talk over your project, including the value of the doll in question.
For repairs, 50% of quoted cost is due up front and the remaining 50% when I send you photos of the finished repair.
(Note: I specialize in bisque head dolls and do not ordinarily take on dolls with composition heads)

The right costume makes all the difference! Unfortunately, many antique dolls come to us with melted or damaged outfits...or no clothes at all! I use period-appropriate and/or vintage fabrics, trims and buttons from my extensive "stash" to re-create styles for all types of dolls, both antique and modern.
Prices are custom and vary by how elaborate the costume is, how many components (underwear, shoes, socks etc) are included in your order.
If you are not able to let me have your doll, you will need to provide me a series of measurements, using a tool I developed for a pattern drafting seminar I taught at the 2023 UFDC national convention.
- For custom wigs and clothing, payment of the quoted cost is due up front including taxes and insurance.
- I will show. you how to take measurements of your doll for wigs and costumes. I am not responsible item not fitting due to incorrect measurements provided by you.
- Wigs and shoes are usually completed in 1-2 weeks.
- Custom clothing is usually completed in 2-4 weeks.
