When I was a little girl, my dad brought home a box of doll parts he'd found in the trash while volunteering at a neighborhood clean-up. He told me "I thought you could do something with these". Ie was right. I loved to make art and to figure out how things went together. Those "pieces" turned out to be a little Jumeau that I still have, and the beginning of a life-long love.
I studied engineering and spent a career managing systems, i.e., making things fit together and work as intended. That takes patience and a willingness to learn and experiment. Not so different from tackling a pile of broken porcelain pieces that used to be a beautiful French doll.
Over the years, I've studied with the best in our hobby, such as Joyce Murch and Sylvia Williams. I'm active in the United Federation of Doll Clubs, acting as a teacher, presenter and judge in the competitive exhibits.
I'm a member of the Doll Doctors Association, Doll Collectors of America, the Doll Study Group of Boston and the Granite State Doll Club.
I actively buy and sell through in-person auctions in the US and Europe. You can find me on Ruby Lane and EBay as well as various antiwue doll groups on Facebook.
